"We use God's mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil's strongholds. With these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons we conquer their rebellious ideas, and we teach them to obey Christ." This paraphrase of 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 summarizes the purpose behind RdR's School of Christian Development.
The Vision: To create a place of intensive Christian study and practical application in the areas of theological doctrine, spiritual growth, and leadership training. The school of Christian Development is a training ground for future RdR pastors, ministry leaders and leaders from other churches. These community influencers will change the next generation because they have been thoroughly changed by God and discipled in a caring and challenging environment.
Theological Doctrine - Right living results from right thinking.
Spiritual Growth - No progress is made in our Christian witness without our sanctification.
Leadership Training- The culture is changed by leaders who dare others to follow in a different or new path.
The Purpose: To train up men and women who are ready to defend, teach and lead others in the gospel and the Christian worldview, effectively "Living Jesus" in their sphere of influence.
The Mission: To offer a series of progressively challenging classes that address key themes of the Christian church, one's own spiritual life and the society in which we live. Graduates will have confidently gained a mature level of understanding in each class, while also gaining practical, real world training that makes sense in current society. These classes take place in eight week segments at the church facility on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm and special, intensive weekend seminars. Classes are open to anyone.
