The Salt & Light Ministry encourages Christians to have an equal voice in the social and cultural issues of the day. We train and challenge Christians to develop a Biblical worldview so that, when wrestling with these things, they form their opinions and ideas around what God's Word teaches us rather than what the world says is politically correct.
Thankfully, we still have the freedom to express our ideas in the USA. Currently, in places like China and Iran, Christians face severe persecution. They are often jailed, beaten, and even killed for openly proclaiming the Gospel or speaking out in opposition to the Government. So far, our situation pales in comparison, yet remains real and important. God has charged us with the duty to choose our laws and leaders and, as Christians, we have a stewardship responsibility over what God has provided us with. Following the examples of Jesus as He engaged the Pharisees, or the Apostle Paul as he reasoned with the Greeks on Mars Hill, Christians must lead by example and compete lovingly in the battlefield of ideas. May we always be prepared to defend the truth!
